The Lions Club of Kenmore isn’t all work all the time. When the club is not actively raising funds and proving donations and services there are countless social activities to keep our members entertained and motivated. The club annually has a presence in the Town of Tonawanda Memorial Day parade. Some years the members have distributed balloons to the children lining the route while members dressed as lions shook their hands. Each fall the club has a “Lions Go To Church Sunday” followed by breakfast at one of our local restaurants. A donation is made to the church attended. Other fun activities are the summertime meetings at the Fireman’s Pavilion and family picnics held at Sheridan Park. The club has also participated in Kenmore Week activities including interclub baseball games and golf outings. Music has long been a part of the Lions Club of Kenmore for both entertainment and fundraising. In the late 1940’s music was used as a means to raise funds as the club sponsored musicals at Kenmore West High School in conjunction with the Kenmore Choral Club. Since 1985 we have sung Christmas Carols at a local adult residence and a skilled nursing facility. The club has also sponsored several high school musicians to play in the Lions Youth Band at our State Lions Convention. Come enjoy all of the fun events the Lions Club of Kenmore is proud to sponsor. Consider membership today. For more information email us at info@kenmorelions.org |
